North Sky Photography's founder, Rebecca Burbidge, began making photographs in high school on a Canon film point and shoot, creating scrapbooks of her adventures with friends and travels around New England. While in college in the early 2000s, she was gifted an old Yashica film SLR from her father, which she used to document her backpacking trip through Europe and a year studying abroad in the United Kingdom. Many images were created and treasured, but photography wasn't yet anything more than a hobby.

In early 2012, she made the radical decision to quit her current career path and start over. After traveling around the world for a decade with her European husband and Canon Rebel, she wanted nothing more than to make photographs full time. With his support, she attended Boston University's Center for Digital Imaging Arts (CDIA), which not only taught her how to use that little Rebel properly, but connected her with a network of photographers, models and artists with whom to collaborate and grow.

After graduation in 2014, North Sky Photography was officially off the ground. While traveling the world is still a passion, NSP's focus is preserving memories for people and families everywhere.

Because, without love in our lives, what do we have?
